Was such a long time ago when i watched the original on TV... better not think too much about it.

This made me think maybe I just have to believe myself as well. Maybe self worth is what I lack right now, my coach told me that mindset is everything as well. Now that Teshima the character that I feel has been molded just like me(I even rode a cannondale similar to him before the frame cracked) has gone over his biggest mental roadblock, maybe it's time for me to bridge that gap and get better.

This race is HOT AS HELL!!! I know that feeling of not believing in yourself and thinking you have no talent for what you love the most - its worse than getting punched in the stomach! This is why I love this anime so much! It makes you see the feelings of the players in full race and the rides themselves are just breath-taking! I am happy this doesn't end yet, as I can experience more pumping races and exhilarating moments with these characters! Teshima really impressed me this episode! :)

its always lame how they do that, try and make you like a char that hasn't mattered in years and act like he's super important to the team and in the end give him a race where it 100 percent doesn't matter who wins ps I know its been like 5 or 6 years but hey here's his motivations lol oh yea did I mention they was friends in middle school

If it was lame, then what are you doing in here? Every single MC in anime did the exact same thing. Not important for the years they alive before the series started. They only got important after the series started. The only differences in here it was its happened for the side character.

This may be the first time flashbacks and such have been used for good reason during races, in this series. This is the first time most dialogue actually bring something useful. For the longest time, we have known that Teshima has a problem with himself, always insisting that he is ordinary and has no talent, as if preparing himself to handle the bitter taste of defeat before the race even started. He has good reasons to do that, but still, we know that it can't be good. Teshima and this problem have been introduced pretty much since the beginning of the series. Some have written in the comments below things like 'but ability to work hard may be a talent, too'. I do agree with that. And here, finally, the author makes use of what he has built up for more than a decade. Teshima always believed in himself... but only to achieve things anyone who works hard could achieve. Nothing more. Mental preparation is so important in sports that pros have psychologists to prepare them. If one can't believe he can win, he won't. And maybe, now, we will have Teshima throw his limiter away so that he can finally make the best of all his hard work and achieve the result he has been craving for for 8 long years of suffering.

Now, we only need to have the author follow through with all this. If he makes Teshima end up 2nd yet again, i can say that all this was done for absolutely nothing and it was pointless. 10 years of build ups to reach a status quo is nothing if not frustrating after all. But the author does many pointless things indeed, as if he tought that subverting expectations is the same as doing good stuff. Which is obviously plain wrong.

actually they mentioned Yawamushi Pedal will not be back until the first week of January since it is the Christmas period, other anime's like like MHA & OP or anything weekly will more than likely have filler arcs until January.

Lol just 14 comments before mine, this season is stale asf, I jumped directly to this ep after speeding through first 3, sohoku chumps and their old problems and only their problems, no other school has them literally made me puke but I swallowed it , as it's not worth losing my energy lol.
